About Us

About the Psychotropic Deprescribing Council

Offering a new paradigm in psychotropic treatment

We envision doctors and patients working together to safely reduce or stop psychotropic medications when appropriate. Through knowledge, compassion, and wrap-around care, clinical practice will minimize withdrawal symptoms and relapse risk while empowering patients to move on to the next chapter in their lives.

Why The Psychotropic Deprescribing Council?

Millions of Americans take psychotropic drugs, most often prescribed for mental health conditions and pain management, yet clinicians receive virtually no training on how to safely end these treatments. The Psychotropic Deprescribing Council was founded to address this critical gap in medical knowledge.
